Strong Bonds is a chaplain-led program that builds relationship resiliency for Soldiers. Its mission is increasing Soldier and family readiness through relationship education and skills training.
USAREC has 142 Strong Bond events from the Office of the Chief of Chaplain.
“We understand the intense pressure on our recruiters and we strive to enable the Soldiers and their families with the tools to overcome any challenge they may face,” said Lt. Col. Dallas Walker, USAREC chaplain.
USAREC focuses on three Strong Bonds program components: Single Soldiers, Married Couples and Families.
The Strong Bonds Program has an online registration process at www.strongbonds.org. Soldiers and immediate family members enrolled in DEERS are eligible to register and attend Strong Bonds. Immediate family members are defined as the member’s spouse and any child of the member and extends to same-sex marriages. Soldiers voluntarily register themselves and their dependants on a first-come basis; registration is open 60 days prior to the event and closes 15 days prior to the event. All approved participates will be notified via email from the Unit Ministry Team (UMT) point of contact.
The UMT will work with unit personnel managers to verify marital and dependency status. Final registration is subject to command approval.
“This year we hope to receive maximum participation at every event throughout USAREC. Your UMTs will provide a premier event in a relaxed and stress free environment in a city near you,” Walker said. “We only ask that you come prepared to learn and take with you the skills that will enhance your relationships and employ them throughout your life.”
