S6S Engage High School Principals
Oct. 16, 2015
Team,
October is National Principals Month. This is an excellent opportunity for you to reach out to your area high schools, particularly those with limited access.
Principals are dedicated and passionate leaders who do more than just carry the title – principals lead, guide, counsel and mentor educators and students and help to instill a passion for education that will resonate throughout their lifetimes. They have tremendous influence in their schools, and, as you know, can make or break your ability to communicate with the students in their schools.
Principals lead by example and help students learn how to be resilient and to gain self-confidence as they grow into adulthood. It is the principals who set the tone for a school, so it is critical we take the time to recognize them, not just during the month of October, but throughout the entire school year.
So this month, I challenge each of you to find ways to thank the principals in your area schools. Consider how your company or center can recognize your principals to show them the U.S. Army truly is their partner in education.
