White papers from industry executives across the country informing recruiting command on the latest in innovations, trends and insights that can help successfully address the challenges USAREC faces in recruiting for Soldier 2020 are flowing into the command.
The white papers were prepared by representatives from companies such as Advanced Systems Development, Inc, Earthlink, Digital OutPost and Microsoft. They were among more than 50 vendors that participated in Industry Days at Fort Knox April 28 and 29. USAREC hosted the event for the purpose of doing market research by surveying industry on best practices to address a myriad of problems the command faces in talent acquisition between now and 2020.
The goal was to learn best business practices to enable innovation and focus on online processes and systems, significantly improving recruiting.
Key areas of interest addressed were:
- Implementing knowledge management practices across the command
- Adapting to mobile computing processes and systems.
- Developing and leveraging virtual recruiting and social media.
- Educating and training using best practices.
The papers may contain thoughts and ideas on ways USAREC can become more effective and efficient in recruiting the Army of the future. The command group and department heads will review, discuss and take the information into consideration when forming future recruiting strategies.
