Continuing education is a way of life for the U.S. Army. The Army has multiple programs and initiatives that Soldiers and their families can take advantage of; however, many educators and parents are not aware of the available career and education opportunities. The decision to join the U.S. Army is not one to take lightly. It requires research by those who are considering it and those asked to support it. This guide provides information to assist you in answering the questions your students may have about serving in the Army, such as what opportunities are available and what are the benefits of serving one’s country. This guide includes information on professional training, challenging experiences, and the wide range of opportunities available to Soldiers. You will learn about the Army Educator Tour program and ways your local Army recruiter can enhance your curriculum. To young men and women, becoming a Soldier is the opportunity that empowers them to succeed in life. The Army strengthens them mentally, physically and emotionally from day one, to meet and ultimately master any challenge, equipping them to do things they never thought they could. As the school year progresses, this guide will aid you in counseling students on the benefits of serving in the Army. Of course, an Army representative is always available to provide more indepth information. Visit goarmy.com or armyedspace.com for more information.
