CG Challenges Field: ‘Beat my bracket’

March 17, 2014
It’s that time of year again, a time when countless people across the country fill out their NCAA tournament brackets hoping to achieve the ever-elusive perfect bracket.
Usually, a first round upset quickly dashes most people’s dreams and their focus shifts to another important, more realistic goal: beating their friends’ brackets. It is in that spirit that U.S. Army Recruiting Command extends an invitation to all personnel to participate in the “USAREC Bracket Challenge,” hosted by Maj. Gen. Allen Batschelet.
The game will be a friendly competition which will ultimately crown USAREC’s most prominent bracketologists. There will be a winner from each brigade, with a USAREC swag bag full of Army-branded gear, going to the best.
Starting immediately, entrants may join USAREC’s bracket challenge here. Entrants will have to wait until the official bracket is released Sunday night (March 16) to make selections. To be considered for the prize, entrants must include brigade designation in the bracket name. For example, 2nd Brigade entrants would entrants would end their bracket 2; for USAREC headquarters it would be HQ, and so on.
Only one bracket entry allowed per person and you may continue to make changes to your bracket up until the first games begin. Once the games begin, you are at the mercy of the court … the basketball court, that is. Good luck!
